2026 SMART Modified Champion Jake Crum & Treyten Lapcevich

Episode 209 is on the scene with 2026 SMART Modified Tour Champion Jake Crum as he discusses taking home the win and the championship on Saturday night at North Wilkesboro Speedway. Jake reveals if it is truly sank in, when he thought a championship was possible this season, overcoming early race obstacles, his deep friendship with Crew Chief Justin Link, if this weekend was the biggest weekend of his career and how him and his wife are making room in their house for more trophies as she has a Carolina Crate Modified title to win this weekend at Orange County. You do not want to miss this sit down interview with the Champ.

Treyten Lapcevich recently got the call from Dale Earnhardt Jr to run the season ending CARS Tour race at South Boston and it paid huge dividends by claiming his first win of the season in his first start for JR Motorsports. Treyten discusses how this all came about, what he has experienced over the last few weeks post Martinsville, his current relationship with former team owner Chad Bryant and if this was a dress rehearsal for more opportunities for JRM. Plus Treyten reveals what he almost gave up his racing career for, why his second place CARS Tour points finish nearly didn't happen at all, his recent Modified experience practicing a SMART Modified for his brother Cayden and how he has been inspired by his recent success in the Modifieds.

We give our full breakdowns of both the SMART Tour and CARS Tour season ending races including our thoughts of Mason Walters claiming the Pro Late Model title and if he is headed to Late Models following his big season.
