Episode 178 is on the scene and we welcome the General Manager of South Boston Speedway Brandon Brown back to the show. Brandon tells us how the track is getting ready to host this weekend's King Of The Modifieds SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic event which is part of URW Community Federal Credit Union Race Day. We discuss two track legends in Elliott Sadler and Lee Pulliam making their long awaited returns behind the wheel this weekend and how the overall event just keeps growing in stature. We also discuss some changes for this season at the track, the return of the Loyalty Program for all divisions, the return of the Krush later this year, his recent Virginia Motorsports Caucus meeting with Senator Bill Stanley to help protect Virginia race tracks and much more!

We launch our Kulwicki Driver Development Program Underbird Series for 2026 with the first of 5 finalists. Chase Johnson won the American Racers Late Model Championship at Dominion Raceway in 2025. During the season he collected 15 wins, 21 top fives, the Southeast Regional Championship and the NASCAR Local Racing Series powered by O'Reilly Auto Parts rookie of the year for 2025. This second generation racer talks to us about being selected for the program, branching out for 2026 and following in his father Eddie's footsteps who was mainstay on Virginia Short Tracks.

Denny Hamlin overcame a speeding penalty on Sunday at Las Vegas to score his 61st career Cup Series win. We discuss how each win for Denny at his stage of his career is special and if he can get up to the 70 win mark before he calls it a career. We discuss the Joe Gibbs Racing having all four cars in the top ten this week, the new body for Chevrolet teams, a season best performance as a whole for RFK racing, the struggles for Penske and debate what we should call cautions that come up for non stages which triggers a debate on stage racing.

We discuss the upcoming IHRA Stock Car Series opener from Pulaski County Motorsports park, preview the big event at South Boston Speedway, discuss the ASA STARS National Tour race from Five Flags, serve up a plate of DUBS and tell you where you can see some of your favorite tracks in action as short tracks around the region are starting to open up for the season.

We also preview the upcoming events at Darlington which DLN will be on the scene for and much more this week on DLN!!

A huge thanks to our loyal sponsors
